A Detailed Look at the Black and White Adjustment Layer in Photoshop CS5

The black and white adjustment layer is a good starting place for creating black and white and tinted images.

The adjustment permits granular control of the highlights and shadows of an image and comes with a range of presets that can give striking, instantaneous results.
